Baseball team LG Twins has signed new foreign pitcher Dietrick Enns (32), completing the composition of its 2024 foreign players.

“We signed Enns to a contract for a total of $1 million ($300,000 down payment, $600,000 annual salary, $100,000 incentive),” LG said on Thursday.

After re-signing pitcher Casey Kelly and first baseman Austin Dean, both members of the 2023 championship team, LG filled the remaining spot with Enns.

The organization considers Enns to be its “No. 1 option.

A left-handed pitcher, Enns began his professional career with the New York Yankees in the 19th round of the 2012 MLB Draft.

His major league career was short-lived.

Enns made his big league debut with the Minnesota Twins in 2017 and took the mound for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2021.

In his major league career, Enns is 11-2 with two saves and a 3.42 ERA (12 runs, 10 earned, in 26 1/3 innings).

In Triple-A, he went 32-24 with a 4.26 ERA in 85 games.

In 2022, Enns moved to the Nippon Professional Baseball Seibu Lions, where he played for two years. He went 11-17 with a 3.62 ERA in 35 games.

“I’m excited to be a part of the LG Twins organization. I’m looking forward to meeting the coaching staff, teammates, and fans. I’m also excited to experience something different with my family in a new place.” “I will try to be a good teammate. I will do my best to help LG win another championship.”

“Enns is a pitcher who stands out for his durability and consistency. He has excellent fastball and changeup command,” said LG. “We hope that he will quickly adapt to the KBO by utilizing his experience in Nippon Professional Baseball and play a key role as the team’s first starter in the 2024 season.” 토토
