The casino at Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in Incheon, Korea, is finally set to open. After a series of obstacles and a long journey toward the opening of this foreigner-only casino, a five-star hotel rating is finally given to the property.

Strict assessment to win 5 stars:

The resort had to undergo serious examination to get the rating and comply with the requirements of the Korea Tourism Association. According to Mohegan, the rating was issued after “strict evaluation” in compliance with the Korean hotel rating system. Among the conditions to achieve the rating, the quality, hygiene, and service standards of the facility had to be at the highest level.

This is the highest rating that hotels in Korea can get. It is good news for the resort that we are finally able to open the casino and start our operations.

On Nov. 30, 2023, most of the amenities were open to the public, but the resort waited to open its casino operations. The luxury resort consists of three hotel towers, MICE facilities, a variety of high-end restaurants, an entire entertainment street with a variety of amenities, and a fantastic indoor water park. Most of the restaurants are already open, but they plan to open even more restaurants.

All of the other facilities scheduled for the first phase of the Inspire will open in mid-2024. The facilities to be included in the resort include an outdoor experience area, a food court to enjoy foreign food, a content showroom, and an indoor playground for children.

Casino to open soon:

The exact opening date of the casino is not yet known. However, The Mohegan hopes it will open and operate in time for the Chinese New Year, which will be celebrated in February.
