Philadelphia’s first casino is growing and renaming its game. The Sugarhouse Casino, which opened on Delaware Avenue in 2010, will introduce a series of property upgrades later this year and be rebranded as Rivers Casino Philadelphia. There is no change in property ownership.
Among the planned upgrades are a new state-of-the-art permanent sportsbook, a new signature restaurant, and an online casino experience that complements offline operations. The rebrand represents a $15 million reinvestment in the property, and any changes to the facility will be completed by local companies and contractors. Those additions will continue to innovate across the property, with a $164 million expansion in 2016, which will end under a new name.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia will debut in Philadelphia later this fall. With the advent of mobile sports betting and online gaming, having a seamless branded platform will improve customer experience across the Commonwealth and beyond.
“Since we received our casino license in 2006, the game in Pennsylvania has developed tremendously,” said Greg Carlin, CEO of Sugarhouse Casino and Rush Street Gaming. “Keeping pace with the changing landscape has been paramount to our success. Creating an integrated brand is another example of how we anticipate and respond to a competitive market for gaming.”
Rush Street Gaming, which owns and operates Sugar House, and its affiliates now have three different casinos in the United States: Pittsburgh, Illinois (Chicago-area) Des Plaines, and New York’s Schenectady, which operate under the Rivers Casino brand. All Rivers Casino leads their markets.
Rebranding SugarHouse enables local and national marketing to promote one Rivers Casino brand across multiple markets and channels.
The Pennsylvania Game Management Board acknowledged Sugarhouse’s plans to rebrand it at a regularly scheduled board meeting on June 12, 2019. Physical deformation of the building will occur in the coming months, including signs, game parts, team members uniforms, and more.
The rebranding is great news for SugarHouse customers who can expect a seamless transition, expanded player club benefits and a 360-degree full-service gaming experience (land, mobile and online).
PlaySugarHouse.com will partner with the Rivers brand later this year. It will also be a smooth transition for online players.
Members of Sugar House’s 1,600-member team increased the total staffing of Rivers Casino to about 6,000 across four states. Members of the Sugar House Team voted for the casino’s main business in Philadelphia for the 14th time in 2019. Members of the Rivers Casino Team have praised their employer several times.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia will continue to be dedicated to the Fishtown area and the city. The Penn Treaty Special Service District, which receives a $1 million annual operating grant from Sugarhouse to improve the region, will now receive $1 million annually from Rivers Casino Philadelphia. 안전한 파워볼사이트
