Daegu FC reclaimed seventh place with a win over Jeju United.

Daegu won 1-0 in the 28th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 against Jeju at DGB Daegu Bank Park in Daegu on June 26. It was Daegu’s first win in seven games after a winless streak of six matches (four draws and two losses). With the three points, 스포츠토토 Daegu moved up to seventh place with 38 points, ahead of Daejeon Hana Citizen (37 points).

Daegu pushed Jeju hard, firing off seven shots in the first half alone, but were unable to find the back of the net and had to settle for a tense contest. First, Vaselus’ left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area was saved by Jeju goalkeeper Kim Dong-jun in the third minute of the first half, before Sejingya’s golden opportunity a minute later in the midst of a scramble was also saved by Kim’s legs.

After a 0-0 first half, Daegu finally took the lead in the 16th minute of the second half through Go Jae-hyun. Sejingya’s ball from the right corner was headed by Munjeon’s Hong Jeong-woon, but it bounced off the goalkeeper’s line, and Ko Jae-hyun trapped it with his chest before sliding it in with his right foot to rattle the net.

Unlike the first half, Jeju, who threatened Daegu with an onslaught in the second half, had to swallow the loss due to a lack of finishing.

At Gangneung Sports Complex, Gangwon FC and Pohang Steelers drew 1-1. With the one point, last-place Gangwon moved to within one point of 11th-place Suwon Samsung (22 points). Pohang moved to 50 points.

The first goal came from the toe of Pohang’s Hong Yun-sang. In the 16th minute, Hong Yun-sang sent a right-footed inside kick from the left penalty area into the opposite corner of the goal. However, Gangwon equalized in the 33rd minute with a fantastic right-footed long-range shot from Alibayev.
