The Mohegan Sun has teamed up with the Celebrity Player Tour (CPT) and will serve as the title sponsor for the first Mohegan Sun New England Celebrity Player Tour. Scheduled to run from Sept. 11-15, 2002, the star-studded event will gather a legendary lineup of celebrities and athletes on a two-day professional tour, followed by a 36-hole stroke-play competition at the Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Hadam, Illinois.
More than 70 nationally recognized entertainers and athletes will compete on the Mohegan Sun New England Celebrity Players Tour. The current list of 130 CPT members includes Michael Jordan, John Elway, Dan Marino, Mario Lemieux, Charles Barkley, Johnny Bench, Carlton Fisk, Jack Wagner, Ivan Lendel, and Mike Schmidt.
Lee Moore, CPT’s head of public relations, said: “The New England tournament will definitely be one of our best attended events because of its location and amenities.”
The Mohegan Sun is currently building a 1,200-room luxury hotel tower that will be completed in April 2002. The Mohegan Sun property will serve as a venue for hosting several events throughout the tournament. CPT member Michael Jordan will have two restaurants at the Mohegan Sun, Michael Jordan Steakhouse, and Michael Jordan’s 23rd store. Both restaurants will open in October 2001. 카지노사이트
