Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (33-198 cm) has been suspended indefinitely by the National Basketball Association (NBA) for violent conduct during a game.
“We are suspending Green indefinitely for punching opposing player Yusuf Nurkic in the face during the previous night’s game against the Phoenix Suns,” the NBA Office of the Commissioner said on Thursday, “in light of his repeated unsportsmanlike conduct.”
Green was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 for punching Nurkic in the face during a game against Phoenix on Dec. 13 and was promptly ejected.
It was the third time this season that Green has been ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct during a game rather than a six-foul ejection.
Green was also suspended for five games in November against the Minnesota Timberwolves for choking opposing center Rudy Gobert.
“I wasn’t trying to hit him, I was just trying to draw a foul,” Green said after the Phoenix game.
If Green is suspended for more than 20 games, he will lose $202,922 a game in salary, and if he is suspended for less than 20 games, he will lose $153,941 a game.
Heading into the 2022-2023 season, Green was notorious for his inability to control his emotions, including throwing a punch at teammate Jordan Poole during training camp.
He has been ejected 18 times in his career, the most of any active player in the league. 토토사이트
