Yannis Adetokunbo, the “Greek Freak” of the National Basketball Association (NBA), broke the franchise record for most points in a game and led the Milwaukee Bucks to a blowout victory.

Milwaukee cruised to a 140-126 home win over the Indiana Pacers in the 2023-2024 NBA regular season at the Fifth Third Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S., on Thursday (Feb. 14).

Adetokunbo alone bombed for 64 points.

It was the most points by a Milwaukee player in a single game, surpassing Michael Redd’s record of 57 points against the Utah Jazz in 2006.

Adetokunbo’s previous career-high was 55 points against the Washington Wizards last January.

Adetokunbo made 20 of 28 2-point attempts and 24 of 32 free throws.

He didn’t make any 3-pointers, going 0-for-3, but that can’t be a blemish.

Adetokunbo also grabbed 14 rebounds for a double-double.

It was Adetokunbo’s fingertips that sealed the game.

Adetokunbo made both of his free throws with 10:18 left to make it a 10-point game.

He then scored six straight points over the next five minutes to give Milwaukee a 22-point lead, 124-102.

Damian Lillard, who finished with a team-high 21 points, hit his 2,451st career 3-pointer early in the third quarter to move past Kyle Korver into fourth place on the league’s all-time list.

Among active players, he ranks third behind Steph Curry (3,496-Golden State) and James Harden (Los Angeles Clippers-2,795).

The Los Angeles Lakers extended their league winning streak to five games with a 122-119 road win over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Lakers were without “King” LeBron James due to a calf injury and Anthony Davis won the big man battle against rookie Victor Wembanyama.

Davis scored 37 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Wembanyama matched Davis with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and six blocks, but had to settle for a losing effort.

It was the first time a Spurs rookie had at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks since Tim Duncan in 1998.

The Spurs have yet to snap an 18-game losing streak, despite Wembanyama’s consistently good offensive numbers. 슬롯게이밍
