Tony Mowbray, head coach of Birmingham City in the second division of English professional football, where national midfielder Baek Seung-ho plays, will not be able to lead the rest of the season due to health problems.

The Birmingham City club announced on the 20th (Korea Standard Time) that it has appointed acting Gary Loyt, saying Mowbray will be on vacation until the start of the 2024-2025 pre-season.

Birmingham will have its fourth head coach this season alone, including acting head coach Royt.

Birmingham started the season under John Eustes, but in October last year, he replaced Eustes, who was leading the team in sixth place in the league, and appointed Wayne Rooney from England’s “legend.”

However, they broke up in early January this year, less than three months later, after falling into a slump with only two wins, four draws and nine losses under Rooney, and have been led by Mowbray since then.

However, even coach Mowbray was away from last month as it was confirmed that he needed treatment due to health problems, and eventually it became difficult to return during this season.

Royt, who finished 21st in the Championship (39 points) and became Birmingham’s interim head coach, was a defender who played for Birmingham, Everton, Leicester City and Derby County as a player.

He served as head coach at Birmingham City between 2014 and 2016, and later led Derby County, Stoke City and Millwall.

For Baek Seung-ho, who is wearing a Birmingham City uniform after Mowbray’s recruitment, the change in the head coach could affect his position in the team after the A-match break.

Baek Seung-ho recently joined the national team led by interim coach Hwang Sun-hong after playing three consecutive full-time games in Birmingham under coach Mark Venus and is preparing for two consecutive Asian qualifiers against Thailand on the 21st (home) and the 26th (away).

With the arrival of acting Royt, coach Venus will also go on vacation and return with Mowbray, according to the Birmingham club. 안전 슬롯사이트
