A cheering stick with the Taegeukgi attached to be used at the closing ceremony as well

Korean athletes holding Hive’s ‘digital flag’ at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony

The Taegeukgi with added IT technology appeared at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Hive announced that when the Korean team entered the opening ceremony held in Paris, France on the 26th (local time), they were holding a ‘digital flag’ with the Taegeukgi attached to a cheering stick.

This digital flag was created by Hive using its own technology. About 50 Korean athletes, including Woo Sang-hyeok (athletics) and Kim Seo-young (swimming), who were the flag bearers of the team, waved the digital flag, and the spectators watching from the Seine River cheered.

The digital flag, carried by the athletes, traveled to famous landmarks in Paris, including Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris City Hall, the Louvre Museum, and the Musee d’Orsay.

Hive said, “The digital flag changes the light of the light source to five colors: blue, red, yellow, green, and gold, each time you press the button on the handle,” adding, “This was inspired by the Olympic rings, which symbolize the Olympics.”

When a signal is transmitted from the central control, all digital flags light up in different colors simultaneously to raise the cheering atmosphere.

Hive simply explained, “Due to security regulations at the opening ceremony, batteries cannot be installed in the digital flag, so it was used without lighting this time.”

The digital flag will also be used for the Korean team’s entrance at the closing ceremony on the 11th of next month. 파워볼사이트
