OpenBet, a leader in sports betting, has performed brilliantly during this year’s UEFA European Championship, processing more than 140 million bets and overseeing more than 850 million pounds of bets made over a month. The monumental achievement highlights OpenBet’s pivotal role in sports betting, providing state-of-the-art technology and services that drive customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Spain’s victory over England significantly boosted betting activity, winning their fourth European Championship title with a 2-1 victory. Throughout the tournament, Spain and England were top contenders in the Outlit Winner market, especially in the knockout stage. However, Austria also emerged as a surprise contender, catching the attention of bettors by overtaking the Netherlands to advance to No. 1 in Group D, where the odds were dramatically reduced from 40-1 to 16-1.

The high stakes and intense engagement between fans and bettors were highlighted by the huge bets worth over 73 million pounds in the final alone. OpenBet’s trading team was instrumental in generating dividend rates, providing trading content and managing operators’ risks and liabilities, according to a company press release.

One of the standout features of this year’s tournament is a noticeable increase in betting slips on SportCast’s BetBuilder products, a 470% increase over the 2021 tournament. The surge was driven by the introduction of new features, increased demand from betters, and the adoption of products by new players.

OpenBet’s performance during Euro 2024 highlighted the platform’s reliability and efficiency, not just handling large amounts of betting. The company maintained 100% uptime throughout the event, ensuring a smooth betting experience for all users.

Expressing pride in the company’s performance, OpenBet’s CTO, Florian Diederichsen, said, “Euro 2024 has captured the imagination of sports fans and betters across Europe, with OpenBet truly ‘bringing home’ to operators. Once again, our strong platform technology has played a game-winner role in handling significant amounts of bets and providing customers with a reliable and secure betting experience. We have delivered new records in our minute-by-minute processed bets and overall bets offered to operators, and we are proud to be able to play a key role in our success towards continued growth.”

Major deal with Cricket South Africa

A day before the announcement of the company’s historic performance at Euro 2024, Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced a significant partnership with IMG Arena, OpenBet’s sports data and streaming products division, appointing them as exclusive official data providers and betting on CSA’s live streaming partners. The collaboration marks a strategic move to strengthen the delivery of cricket data and live content in markets around the world, setting new standards for sports data collection and broadcasting.

IMG ARENA, along with CricViz, will collect detailed, live, and in-field data on all CSA’s domestic and international cricket matches. This includes a range of competitions from bilateral series to domestic leagues, including formats such as men’s and women’s testing for international matches, ODIs and T20Is, men’s four days, 50 overs and T20s for domestic matches, and men’s and women’s 50 overs and T20 formats for domestic matches. Comprehensive data collected will then be distributed to more than 460 regulated sportsbook operators worldwide, along with live streaming of the matches. 동행복권파워볼
