Woori Card and Hyundai E&C have reclaimed the top spot in the men’s and women’s divisions of the Professional Volleyball V League.
Woori Card, led by new foreign player Artem Susheko (registered name Artem), easily defeated last-place KB Insurance in straight sets 3-0 (25:14/25:18/25:20) in the Dodram 2023-2024 V-League Men’s Division at Uijeongbu Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi-do, on Nov. 22.
Woori Card reclaimed the top spot with 20 wins, 10 losses and 59 points, ahead of Korean Air (19 wins, 11 losses and 58 points). Meanwhile, K.B. Insurance suffered its eighth straight loss. Artem, who was brought in to replace Matej Kok (real name Matej) after he was ruled out for the season with an ankle injury, lived up to expectations. He scored a team-high 17 points, including two blocks and two service aces, while also posting a high offensive success rate (61.9%). Kim Ji-han added 15 points and Issei Otake (real name Issei) chipped in with 11 points.
Hyundai E&C regained the top spot in the women’s league with a hard-fought victory over IBK. Hyundai E&C came from behind to defeat IBK 3-2 (21:25/25:22/19:25/25:16/15:8) in the Dodram 2023-2024 V-League Women’s Division at Suwon Gymnasium in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do on Sunday. Hyundai E&C moved back to the top of the standings with 23 wins, 7 losses and 69 points, overtaking Heungkuk Life (24 wins, 6 losses and 67 points). Meanwhile, IBK remained in fifth place with 14 wins, 16 losses, and 44 points. It reduced the gap to one point with fourth-placed GS Caltex (45 points, 16 wins and 14 losses).
Hyundai E&C recently suffered a crisis when Sittong (registered name Wipawi) withdrew due to shoulder pain. The team recorded four 카지노 errors in the first set, double the number of errors made by IBK (two), and its receiving efficiency was poor at 36.0 percent.
