LPGA Tour star Lexi Thompson (USA), who challenged the PGA Tour, unfortunately failed to pass the cut.

According to a News 1 report on the 14th, Thompson tied five birdies and three bogeys in the second round of the PGA Tour’s Shriners Children’s Open (total prize money of $8.4 million) at TPC Summerlin (par 71) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Thompson, who shot an even par 142 in the interim, failed to make the cut in a tie for 85th place.

The cut standard for this tournament was 3 under par, and Thompson failed to pass the cut due to less than 3 strokes. However, Thompson will remain the second female player to hit 60s on the PGA Tour. Prior to Thompson, Michelle Wie West of the U.S. shot 68 strokes at the 2004 and 2006 Sony Open.

She was the seventh female golfer ever to participate in the PGA Tour and had a “sex match.”

Babe Didrickson Zaharias (USA) is the only female player who tried before Thompson to make the cut. He made the cut twice, the Tucson Open and the Pinixon Open in 1945. 스포츠중계

After failing to finish the game due to sunset after recording one over par in the first round to the 16th hole, he added one bogey in the following game and finished the first round with two over par.

In the second round, he made a bogey on the 10th hole (par 4) which is his first hole, but he cut two shots in the first half with birdies on the 11th, 13th, and 15th holes (par 4).

Thompson later raised expectations by making consecutive birdies at the first and second holes (par 4). If he reduced the number of pars at the end of the game, he could have passed the cut.

But it didn’t go my way. He failed to add birdies in the remaining seven holes, and only added two bogeys to finish the day at 2 under par.

Thompson showed promise in this tournament. He has a driving distance of 301 yards in this tournament, up from the average driving distance of 270.71 yards recorded on the LPGA Tour this season.

In addition, more than 30 of the 132 male players were lower than Thompson in two days. South Korean players Kim Sung-hyun (25, Shinhan Financial Group) and Kim Si-woo (28, CJ) also performed worse than Thompson at 1 over par and 2 over par, respectively, for two days.

Thompson said after the game: “You did a great job today. “I’m very proud,” he said. “Listening to a young child say, ‘That’s really great,’ I thought I did a really good job,” he said, expressing satisfaction.
